Welcome from CRUX Southern Cross University's Postgraduate Association
CRUX is just for you; to represent your issues; support your academic needs, and foster your academic potential.
PRAXIS
is our annual conference, where postgraduates can gain experience presenting their work in a supportive collegial environment. The great value of this conference to postgraduates lies in the opportunity to refine theories into a presentation which will provide excellent experience to help to develop the skills and confidence to present at national and international conferences. There are also the great benefits of networking with other postgraduates and sharing studying and research experiences. Go to Praxis in your first year of candidacy; you will be so glad you did... and presenting at Praxis is a pre-requisite for funding to attend other conferences, so start planning your presentation now. Please check out the link to the conferences to get a feel for what has been happening and to think about your contribution to next year's event. Use the magazine link above and read Cruxis 2011 for more information and articles about the conference.
CRUXIS
is your magazine. Published annually, CRUXIS is a valuable forum providing publication experience for SCU postgraduates in a non-peer reviewed magazine, which allows for further publication of the articles. Each submission is edited and we welcome items on any topic, whether that be research, poetry, paintings or photographs. CRUXIS is a rare collection of current SCU research. Please take a look at the 2011 edition to get an idea.
POSTGRADUATE LUNCHES
Are held regularly across the three main campuses and feature an expert speaker. These lunches are run in collaboration with the DoR and are free to all postgrads. Watch your e-mails for dates and times.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Get-togethers will be held throughout the year in response to demand. So if you are interested in a regular or one-off get-together as a way to meet and network with other postgrads, contact us and we will spread the word.
